Eurostar petition for Ashford stop

Rail travel to the Continent has become more difficult since fewer Eurostar trains stop at Ashford. This means that you have to travel to Ebbsfleet local railway station and then by taxi to the newly built Ebbsfleet International in order to catch a Eurostar train. If you feel you would like to support Peter Skinner MEP in his endeavour to have Ashford re-instated, you will find his web-site petition on: www. peterskinnermep.eu.

You can also use your bus pass on Arriva buses i.e. from Faversham to Maidstone and back. On Saturdays and Sundays you can use your bus pass as early in the day as you like. Age Discrimination

'Just Equal Treatment' is a new campaign for age equality. It aims to end age discrimination and ensure equal treatment for older people by raising public awareness and urging the Government to bring in legislation to give older people the same protection against discrimination that is available to other groups.

Older people often don't think of themselves as suffering from discrimination. So rather than cast them as victims who want special consideration, this campaign echoes older people's feelings - they want 'just equal treament'.

The Campaigns Team at Help the Aged has produced a guide to the Discrimination Law Review and a short form asking for people's views and experiences. Please help by asking your frinds and family to fill in the form which can be downloaded from the Help the Aged website.
